Long-Term Care Plans
Our expertise with helping families qualify for Medicaid gives us a unique ability to design a customized long-term care plan for those who think ahead. Many families go broke paying for care when they instead could protect 100% of their life savings. Planning in advance is a gift of love that protects families from the emotional and financial burden that providing health care creates.
Funeral Planning
Why Preneed Planning is a Smart Choice:

Today's Average Funeral Price - $8,508*
Funeral Price in 10 Years - $11,434
Funeral Price in 15 Years - $13,255
Funeral Price in 20 Years - $15,366

Funeral Price in 25 Years - $17,814

Funeral Price in 30 Years - $20,651
An inflation rate of 3% per year was used for this example based on historical price increases of funerals since 1992.
Preneed planning allows you to pay today’s price for your funeral or cremation. This can be done with a single payment or multiple payments over a defined period of time with early payoff options.

Here's How it Works:
-
An agreement is signed with a specific funeral provider guaranteeing future merchandise and services at today’s cost.

-
Your money is held until the time of need in a state regulated, insurance funded funeral trust (preneed plan). It is not accessible by the funeral provider until after your death.

-
At the time of death, the funeral director will submit a bill to your insurance funded trust for payment. Your family is then relieved from the financial burden of paying funeral expenses.

The Benefits of Planning in Advance Include:
Other Benefits of a Guaranteed Funeral or Cremation Plan
Preneed plans are guaranteed. By making plans ahead of time your services will be carried out exactly as you wish, regardless of inflation.
Preneed plans are tax exempt. If you are planning to use a savings or other investment account to cover funeral expenses, you pay taxes on interest earned. An insurance funded funeral trust eliminates this unnecessary tax.

Preneed plans are portable. If you move, your plan moves with you. The funds can be accessed by any funeral provider in the world you choose.

Preneed plans are exempt from nursing homes and Medicaid. Your savings accounts and cash value life insurance policies will count as a resource and not considered except when qualifying for Medicaid assistance. An insurance funded funeral trust will legally allow you to keep more money for you and your family.

Preneed plans allow you to provide more financial security. When you prepay your funeral, life insurance and other savings pass directly to your spouse or children without the need to pay funeral expenses first.

Preneed plans make a time of family crisis less stressful. Having your house in order reduces the burden on the ones you love the most.
Preneed plans bring certainty. No one chooses to create problems for their family, but it happens every day in America because of a failure to plan. When people die without planning ahead, family members are left to quickly come up with money to pay a funeral director and make important decisions at a time when they are least able to do so.

Asset Transfer Trusts
One of the true benefits of an Asset Transfer Trust is you don't have to plan the details of your funeral now, but still set aside funds for these expenses ahead of time. This allows you or your family to make selections at a later time providing maximum flexibility. Either way, the money will be secure and available for payment of whatever services are eventually chosen.

A trust is the easiest way to transfer assets to your loved ones and favorite charities. This type of trust is uniquely designed for this purpose and to also cover your funeral costs at the same time. Considering that the average cost of funeral and cemetery expenses is $14,858*, it's a wise choice to protect your family by setting money aside for a bill that will someday come due.

Asset Transfer Trusts are provided free of charge and can be used alongside any existing trust you have. When combined with a whole life insurance policy, which requires no underwriting, it allows you to take care of two things at once:

1. Funding for end of life expenses
2. Easy way to transfer assets

This type of planning provides a way for you to protect and transfer assets up to $100,000 to unlimited beneficiaries once your funeral expenses are paid. Plus, these funds are excluded from Medicaid spend-down after 60 months.
